Welcome to DevinCrosby.com my online home for sharing ideas, thoughts and opinions on my professional areas of interest.  With over 15 years leadership experience in retail, technology, marketing and business coaching I bring a wide variety of leadership and marketing knowledge to the table for any company I ‘m working with.  I’m a firm believer that your technology and communications have to be in sync and work together to launch your company toward your painted picture.

Education is included as part of my blog for two major reasons, first being that I grew up in the house of an educator and have spent the vast majority of my life promoting vocational and then career technical education.  I am a product of SkillsUSA, a career technical student organization that promotes the development of a skilled workforce throughout the United States.  Secondly, I have always wanted the opportunity to help strengthen our public education system through the use of technology and innovative thinking.

In my position as the Assistant Executive Director of Communications and Information Technology at California School Boards Association (CSBA) I hope to accomplish that goal.  Ideas such as partnership academies and the newer “flipped” learning model excite me as they prove that education isn’t just about the status quo.  We have to be willing to try new things and be intelligent about abandoning those ideas that are not necessarily working.
